Lepo Lorun was first established in 2002. Located slightly inland from Maumere, Nusa Tenggara Timur,
making their mark through handcrafting weaving cloth (tenun ikat). The organisation continues to thrive and develop to this day.
Tenun ikat is a clothing item designed to preserve a woman’s dignity during their day to day lives.
Lepo Lorun’s hand-woven textiles embraces and reignites the traditional meaning of being not only a piece of cloth, but a piece of art.
